What polls tell us is probably wrong,
As we’ll find out before very long:
They can’t measure the grace
That’s inspiring this race
And making the patriots strong.
From the archive
Will we ever develop the knack
Of remembering how to keep track,
Overcoming the “block”
Of resetting our clock:
To “fall forward” or, rather, “fall back”?
ON THE BLINK
Saving daylight is wonderfully wise
And a cinch if a citizen tries.
It’s so simple to do,
I’ll explain it to you:
You save daylight by closing your eyes.
From the clock that I keep on the wall
I acquired one more hour last Fall,
But I never did use it
And will now likely lose it:
Tell me what was the point of it all?
Last week’s limerick
DARK TO LIGHT
Every night we get tired and we yawn,
It gets dark and stays dark until dawn:
Every year, Halloween,
All these monsters are seen,
But next morning the monsters are gone.
