Isabel, my 16-year-old daughter, has been invited to participate in an intensive 2- to 8-week program with the Joffrey Ballet in New York this summer. The tuition is free, and we’ve got the airfare covered, but I’m currently between jobs and cannot scrape up the funds needed for room and board ($4000 for the entire two months). Izzy is a very talented and committed ballerina and a very mature young lady — not your average teenager. She hopes to be a professional dancer some day and would benefit greatly from this experience.
